The question

Task

Talk about a time when you helped a stranger with a physical task or by carrying heavy items. Describe what happened, how you felt about helping, and what the outcome was.

Sample answer

I clearly remember an afternoon last spring. I was walking home when I noticed an elderly woman in quite a predicament near my apartment building. She was attempting to carry a large, overflowing box of books up a steep flight of stairs. The box looked incredibly heavy, and she was visibly struggling, pausing every few steps. I immediately rushed over and offered my assistance. Her face instantly brightened with relief, and she gratefully accepted. I carefully took the box and carried it all the way up to her apartment. She was profoundly thankful, her eyes full of gratitude. Her warm smile truly made my day, underscoring how small acts of kindness can make a significant impact.
