The question

Task
You are about to leave for a family road trip when you notice something highly unusual with your car's packing. Call your friend to describe what you see, what you think happened, and what might happen next.
Sample answer
You are not going to believe the scene in our driveway right now! We are all set for our family road trip, but instead of our suitcases, the car is overflowing with houseplants. It looks like a botanical garden exploded in the back of our minivan! There are towering monsteras and ferns everywhere, with a tiny cooler squished between a ficus and a rubber plant. Even our dog, Buster, looks confused, sniffing at a trailing ivy. I think my Aunt Carol, who helped us pack last night, must have misunderstood 'pack essentials' to mean her beloved flora. It is so bizarre; there is no room for our luggage. I foresee a chaotic morning. We will have to unload every plant and frantically repack our clothes, which will delay our departure by an hour. I just hope the plants survive!
