Task

You are at a local park and witness a very strange scene. Call your friend to describe what you see, what you think is happening, and what might happen next.

Sample answer

Linking words are highlighted: they show the structure a rater follows.

Hey, you absolutely won't believe what I'm seeing at the park right now! It's completely bizarre. There are about five or six young children, no older than ten, standing like little drill sergeants, holding clipboards and giving serious instructions to a group of grown-ups on how to use the playground equipment. They're pointing at the swings and slides, demonstrating proper technique, and the adults are listening with such solemn faces, some even nodding! I'm guessing it's either an incredibly creative, perhaps slightly satirical, community safety initiative, or maybe a unique school project designed to empower the kids while teaching adults about playground etiquette. I imagine next they'll be issuing 'safety certificates' to the adults, and perhaps even assigning them 'recess duty' to monitor each other!
