5 PTE Write Essay tips
You write an argumentative essay on a given topic within a word limit and a time limit.
Tips

Plan for two minutes
Decide your position and two reasons before you type. Changing direction halfway shows.

One idea per body paragraph
Reason, example, consequence. Three or four sentences each.

Paraphrase the prompt
Copying the prompt word for word doesn't show range.

Mix sentence types
Use at least one complex sentence per paragraph: although, which, if.

Leave time to proofread
Spelling errors cost marks in several criteria at once.
Mistakes to avoid
- Going over or under the word limit.
- Memorised phrases that don't fit the topic.
